The Gear Foundation is dedicated to advocating for those with disabilities, focusing on connecting them, their parents, and caregivers with essential resources and services. We prioritize simplifying access to these resources, providing comprehensive support to caregivers, and enhancing the lives of adults with special needs.
Additionally, we are committed to fostering a community of support by assisting in the establishment and development of nonprofits focused on serving this demographic.
Our mission is to create an inclusive, supportive environment where the challenges faced by those with disabilities and their families are acknowledged and actively addressed, promoting a society that values and celebrates their contributions.

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act."
Proverbs 3:27
Our mission has always been to support special needs parents in our community and at our church by answering their pressing questions and providing guidance. With Stella, we now have a powerful force multiplier. Over the past year, Stella has been rigorously tested and refined with the invaluable help of many parents and Facebook user groups right here in Tennessee. The feedback and support from these communities have been instrumental in shaping Stella into the indispensable tool she is today. We are now excited to roll out Stella to special needs families across the United States, ensuring that more parents and caregivers can benefit from this amazing tool.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Middle Tennessee Electric “Sharing Change” for their unwavering support over the years. From our initial request to launch Our Thrift Store in Franklin, Tennessee, their support has been a steadfast partner in our mission. Thanks to their partnership, we’ve assisted five nonprofits across the U.S. in launching their own thrift stores based on our model, creating job opportunities for adults with special needs. We also provide free guidance to help others establish nonprofit thrift stores in their communities.
We are excited to announce that we are also looking to replicate this success in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, continuing our focus on meaningful employment for those with special needs.
Finding Local Services: “Where can I find a speech therapist in [MYTOWN] and please rate them based on their Google reviews?”
Specialized Care: “Where can I find a dentist in [MYTOWN] that specializes in special needs children?”
Legal Guidance: “What is a special needs trust?” or “What is a power of attorney?”
Programs and Support: “What day programs are available in [MYTOWN]?”
We invite special needs parents and caregivers to experience the ease and efficiency of having a dedicated concierge to navigate the often overwhelming sea of information. With Stella, you can find peace of mind knowing that the resources you receive are tailored to your needs, accurate, and trustworthy.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. We are confident that Stella will make a significant difference in the lives of special needs families, just as she has in ours.
Together, we can build a supportive and resourceful community for all special needs families.
